Designer: Signed Vendome. Pat. 280950. Vendome was one of the Coro company's top of the line costume jewelry and was one of the most famous manufacturers of costume jewelry in the mid twentieth century.

The center of these breathtaking Vendome vintage crystal designer earrings has a large, heavily faceted, brilliant sapphire blue crystal bead. It is surrounded by more sparkling blue sapphire crystal beads of various sizes. To further add grandeur, pastel blue Aurora Borealis crystals and etched goldtone leaves are also used forming a gorgeous rossette domed to 1/2" tall! Such jeweled galore is mounted to a double layered goldtone filigree base. These profoundly beautiful Vendome vintage crystal earrings are in an extremely rare mint condition as if they have been sitting in a vault all these years. They don't seem to have been worn. The clip backs have screw mechanism to adjust for comfort. This type of screw clips was designed by Markus Jellinek and patented in 1946. However, these earrings were made in the 50's era.
