Fruit Salad jewelry is costume jewelry that is set with molded stones. The stones are glass or plastic and can be transparent or translucent. Fruit salad jewelry is highly collectible. This strikingly beautiful Juliana fruit salad demi-parure takes your breath away! The entire necklace is prong set with sparkling lavender crystal rhinestones on goldtone. Five amber teardrop faceted lucite stones adorning the necklace with 3 large, dangling faceted glittering lucite balls and loads of molded purple/white nutty lucite beads layered on top covering half the length of the necklace. The center amber teardrop lucite stone is surrounded by sparkling lavender crystal rhinestones dangling a large, faceted, glittering lucite ball forming the necklace into a "V" shape. The teardrop faceted lucite stones each measuring 3/4", the large faceted lucite ball measuring 5/8" in diameter and the molded nutty lucite beads each measuring 1/2". This vintage demi-parure is beautiful and substantial. The gorgeous center piece measures 2 3/8" x 1" and is 3/8" thick which covers the entire front of the wrist. The cuff is 1/4" thick. The center piece features 3 rows of glittering clear rhinestone cradled by the double-blossoms of white, pale pink, blue and green. Layered on top of the middle row are sparkling clear, blue and red crystal rhinestones. High polished silvertone symmetrical wide trims lending for a sophisticated Deco flair. The cuff is riveted onto the center piece. The matching earrings are clip backs. So gorgeous, unusual, well-made and beautifully crafted. Era: Circa 40.
Condition: Good Condition.
Flaw: A minor repair was done on the underside of the center piece. The repair has dulled 4 silver tone prone settings (not affecting the stones) in the front of the necklace. There are also two very small scratches on a faux pearl. These flaws are not noticeable unless looking at closeup.
Size: Necklace - Entire length 16 1/2". Clip On Earrings - 1 3/8".
Designer: Marked WEISS on oval plate on all three pieces. Albert Weiss is one of the world renowned designers of the 40's and 50's known for the top quality of his costume jewelry, on the par with Eisenberg, Boucher and other great designers of that era.

Despite of the flaw mentioned above, this Weiss jewelry set is just stunningly beautiful. The deep ruby red crystal rhinestones set off a lot of fire and sparkles. They surround nine marquise shaped shiny faux pearls. The faux pearls are graduated in size. The largest faux pearl measures 5/8" and the smallest measures 3/8". The center piece measures 5" wide and 1" in length. It cradles beautifully around the base of the neck. The matching clip on earrings have two 5/8" faux pearls encircled by gorgeous shimmering red ruby crystal rhinestones. All prong set on silver tone. A magnificent old Weiss jewelry set like this usually sells for at least $125.00. Because of the flaws, I have adjusted the price to $98.00.
